What a long break!

Oh goodness, Mummy's been terribly slow at updating my blog - I think she's too carried away with her knitting....and other things.

There's lots of news to catch up on.

I'll start out sad, and work up to the good news. The sad part is that we lost my Nanny G in May this year. I miss her a lot, but Mummy shows me lots of photos of her so that I can remember her well.

At Easter I started walking properly, and now no-one can stop me - I run everywhere, and dance, and kind-of sing! I've grown up so much! When I went for my check up at 18 months, I was 83cm tall, and weighed 11.4kg.

I love eggplants! Mummy even knitted me one!

I know lots of words now. I started out with 'duck' then learnt lots of animal sounds, and now I'm onto colours, and am learning how to say my name!

It's fun trying on Mummy's shoes. I even try on Daddy's now, but they're much heavier to walk in!

The best news (I think) is that really soon, I'm going to be a big sister! When my little brother or sister comes along in about 5 weeks time, I'm going to give him or her lots of cuddles and kisses. I've been practicing by kissing Mummy's tummy.

My direct line to Daddy!

I promise to get Mummy to update my blog much more often from now on, but it's ok that she hasn't for a while, she's been really busy growing our new baby.

Mummy shouldn't get to have all the fun with knitting stuff!

New Tricks!!

I love collecting new skills to add to my repertoire!

Last week I taught myself how to get into and out of the washing basket!

Last Wednesday I spent the day with Nan T. We had a great fun day. I can't wait to do it again!

Then on Thursday at Nan G's, I climbed up on to her coffee table. I wasn't exactly sure what to do then though! Luckily Mummy helped me down!

On Sunday morning, I discovered that our kitchen is just like a playground at home! I simply love climbing into and out of the bottom drawer (it is mine, it has lots of things in it so I can help Mummy in the kitchen!)

And now I can climb the stairs at home, but Mummy keeps really close behind me! I don't even need to take a break in the middle! Mummy keeps saying the next step is to teach me how to get back down them! Bah, how boring!

Cuddles, and Ouchies!

My bear Crumble sleeps in my cot with me now!

We're best buddies.

One morning, we sat up like this to greet Mummy when she came in to say Good Morning! We even stayed like it long enough for her to take a picture!

Turning one isn't all fun and games.......

Mummy and Daddy took me to the doctor, and I got jabbed with needles 3 times! Ouch! At least I looked tough with my band-aids on!

I weighed 9.2kg, and was 76cm long!

Crumble's my best buddy at home, but Felicity always goes with me in the car - she gives great cuddles!

I stand up lots right now, Mum and Dad think I'll be walking soon! I like to keep them guessing!

My birthday!!

I turned 1 on the 28th February 2009!

I celebrated by going swimming, then I took Mum and Dad out for lunch at a nice cafe.

On the Sunday, I had a party!!

I got a big kiss from
Dad....

I got a cake in the shape of a "1".....

....and
since it was my cousin Grace's birthday two days before mine, there was a "2" cake as well to make "12"! (Grace turned 12 you see)

I was very spoilt and got lots of lovely presents from my friends.

I especially loved my cards!

I've now got six teeth, four on top and two on the bottom!

More Antics!

Mummy!! Could you check my highchair for me please?

I think my nappies need rearranging!

The Mummies at Mum's Group thought it would be funny to put us all in here........

Actually it is kind of fun!

At-Home Antics

Foodtime Fun!!

I do love making a mess when Mummy gives me food to feed myself!

It tastes so much better smooshed!

Check out my juicing technique!

I think I'm done!

Mummy, I'd best have a bath after that meal!

Out and About

Here I am back at the Botanical Gardens, I've just left Clare to finish the safety inspection on her pram, after chasing the seagulls away!

Daddy and I had fun cruising the waterfront. You can see soooo much from Dad's shoulders (even if he does pull funny faces!)
